 Pollentia Roman Town
Pollenzo Story
Pollentia is a Roman Town in Piemonte remembered by Plinio. His name is mentioned by many authors like Cicerone and Marziale. Someone remembers him for the historical events in his lands, others for the dark wool, others for the production of vases for the table very important objects during the Roman world...
We don't have many information on the origin of Pollenzo town probably in 173 between the period of fall of Statielli and the occupation of the lands of Bagenni also if we don't have the exactly date. Also the name of Pollentia suggests the Town was probably a military foundation born as a offensive rampart for new Roman conquests in the North of Italy.
The Albertina House
Pollenzo was an area occupied by Royal holding estate of Carlo Alberto.
It had important public works as the theatre, the anphitheatre, some acueducts and some Temples
